Mom and Baby Yoga
Connect with your baby while you receive the benefits of yoga. This class will allow you to stretch and exercise your body, breathe in new energy, and take time for yourself to relax in the company of other new mothers. For all levels.
Yoga is beneficial for the post natal body as it improves posture, flexibility, strength, endurance and helps to ward off potential postpartum blues
Practicing yoga with your baby encourages interaction, communication, touch and play
Yoga meets you at your level – it is important to listen to your body, to not push yourself and slow down if a posture causes discomfort
It is recommended that women wait 6 weeks after delivery to start exercising – consultation with your doctor before starting a yoga practice is important
Kegel exercises can be practiced immediately after giving birth
If you are recovering from a C-section, avoid lunging, back bends, and wide leg standing poses as they stretch the pelvis and abdomen.
